Job Overview:
Our home health provider group, along with our hospice team located in Los Angeles County, is seeking an EXPERIENCED RN licensed in California, specifically one with a background in hospice care. This role is based in our Glendale, CA office.

We are looking for candidates who have extensive experience in hospice services and a comprehensive understanding of Medicare regulations related to hospice assessments and visits. Ideal applicants must be highly motivated, possess a positive attitude, and demonstrate great compassion. As a registered nurse, you should appreciate the importance of hospice care in easing patients' pain and discomfort.

Having a compassionate demeanor and strong interpersonal skills will enhance your suitability for this role. If you are dedicated to providing care and are a quick learner, you will thrive as you become acquainted with our best practices, which contribute significantly to the affection our hospice receives from patients and their families.

While being bilingual and having prior hospice experience are beneficial, they are not mandatory. Applicants must be residents of Southern California (SoCal) and be prepared to visit patients as needed.

Requirements:
  • Nursing license - California 
  • CPR certification 
  • California Driver's License.
  • Car insurance - California.
  • SS no.
  • Proof of authorization to work, if applicable.

Others:
  • TB test.
  • Physicals.
  • Titers- MMR/Varicella.
  • Immunization, optional.
  • List of 2 professional/ work references OR recommendation letters.

Skills:
  • Clinical management experience in hospice care.
  • Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines/side effects.
  • Committed to safety precautions and high ethical standards.
  • Sound judgement and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to explain benefits to patients clearly (EOB).
  • Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of any Hospice software is preferred (but not required).
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature.
  • Emotional/mental stability and stamina.
  • Cool-tempered and patient.
  • And love dealing with people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to lead a nursing team and comply with Medicare regulations.

  • Occasional home visits.
